Aussies – Temperament, Training And Care


Australian Shepherd Dogs are very brave and energetic. They know how to communicate with others. From the very beginning they love human association. There is no denying the fact that the streamline of their originality has been found in Spain instead of Australia. They were utilized to keep the well track of the herding animals and livestock in the grazing fields and ranches. Their maverick attitude and dashing temperament give driving force to them to do a lot of work with much swiftness and accuracy. One can keep Australian Shepherds at home for the sake of the protection of the house and property. They are the nocturnal watchdogs who can perform their duties to the entire satisfaction of their masters.

These dogs having upright physical appearance with the approximate 18 to 23 inches height and around 60 pounds weight. They are very adorable and cute looking. They are double coated with ears which are also curled down. They belong to the Herding Dog Group. The colors of Australian Shepherds are be green, hazel, amber, blue merle, red, black etc. These dogs are very much interested to play the dangerous games as they are very much sportive and gamesome.
